Peter Tinholt
Peter brings significant Senior Executive experience, having run successful added value export focused businesses for the last 15 years. Combining strong strategic and operational knowledge with a background in sales and marketing. Having participated in a number of acquisitions, mergers and divestments, Peter brings a well-rounded skill set to Oriens Capital.
Peter’s most recent role was as General Manager, Asia Pacific for Taura Natural Ingredients. Taura is the global leader in concentrated fruit products, and Peter’s role included full responsibility for business activities in the APAC area, including sales and marketing, production and finance. He was a member of the global executive team. Peter was a management shareholder during the ownership of Taura by Australian private equity investor Champ Ventures, and assisted during the successful sales process in 2015. Peter’s prior roles have had strong operational management and sales and marketing focus in export businesses, including GM for Allberry House, Group Sales and Marketing Director for Delmaine Fine Foods and Managing Director for Newmans Quality Foods Limited.
Peter is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors, a member and active investor of Enterprise Angels. He sits on the Executive Board of Priority One, the Western Bay of Plenty’s regional development organisation, is a Trustee of the Acorn Foundation and a Trustee of the Tauranga Arts Festival Trust. Peter also acts as an advisor to WNT Ventures the Bay of Plenty based tech incubator funded in part by Callaghan Innovation.
