Rockit Global has been awarded Supreme winner of the New Zealand International Business Awards for 2022, announced on 27 October, at the Awards’ first in-person event since 2019.
The New Zealand International Business Awards celebrate the success of New Zealand businesses on the world stage and recognises excellence and innovative practice. The Awards have been supported by NZTE and its predecessor organisations since 1964, with many of New Zealand’s most iconic companies celebrated over the years.
As well as the Supreme Award chosen by a panel of judges, Rockit Global also won the category award for Best Large Business. Judges described Rockit Global as a worthy Supreme Award winner, due to an inspiring team with great global expertise that has successfully built their brand around a product that does not typically have a brand.
Oriens Capital first invested in Rockit Global in March 2017, making it the first of six portfolio companies of Oriens Capital Fund 1. Oriens Capital Partner and Rockit Global Director, James Beale said that “we are extremely proud of Rockit Global’s successes and acknowledge the hard work of the Rockit management team led by Mark O’Donnell”.
Oriens Capital Fund 2 portfolio company Van Dyck Fine Foods was also a finalist in the Best Medium Business category, with Dawn Aerospace taking out the Award on the night.
