Bluelab wins Supreme Award at New Zealand International Business Awards 2021

Bluelab has been awarded Supreme winner of the New Zealand International Business Awards (NZIBA) for 2021.

The NZIBA are New Zealand’s most prestigious export awards, with a 58-year history and many high-profile previous winners. Bluelab was named as a finalist for the awards in three categories:

  1. Best Established Business;
  2. Excellence in Digital Commerce Transformation; and
  3. Innovation in response to COVID-19.

Due to COVID-19, the awards for 2021 were delayed and delivered through a virtual ceremony on 17 February 2022. Bluelab not only won its category award for Excellence in Digital Commerce Transformation but won the overall Supreme New Zealand International Business Award. Bluelab continues to go from strength to strength previously winning the Excellence in Innovation category at the NZIBA in 2019.

Judges described Bluelab as a worthy Supreme Award winner, with its success driven by a high level of customer understanding and being present at every step of the customer journey. They also praised Bluelab’s embrace of digital channels to enhance both customer experience and their own business resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Oriens Fund 1 invested in Bluelab Holdings in 2018, as a minority shareholder alongside the owners Greg and Mandy Jarvis. Oriens sold its stake in Bluelab in October 2021 to Pioneer Capital and the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.
