Just prior to Nautical Group Holdings (NGH) acquiring Fastmount in November 2021, Fastmount launched an innovative new product range – the Stratlock® Rail System. Since then, the innovative product has been recognised through multiple design awards including:
- Australian Good Design Awards 2022: Product Design Award, Winner
- German Design Council’s Iconic Awards 2022: Innovative Architecture, Winner
- New Zealand Best Design Awards 2022: Non-Consumer Product Category Award, Bronze
To be recognised by these various awards is a significant achievement for Fastmount. These awards provide a valuable independent endorsement of professional design quality and it tells the world the product represents design excellence.

The Fastmount Stratlock® Rail System is an aluminium rail and connector system for building interior ceiling and wall framework onto uneven substrates, in order to precisely attach interior panelling with Fastmount’s Stratlock® Range of hidden panel fasteners. The Stratlock® Rail System standardises otherwise irregular methods of framing up and mounting decorative interior panels across differing industries.
The Fastmount Stratlock® Rail System was released in October 2021 after extensive work with the Blender Design team in Auckland. Notable projects to date include Italian fashion house Gucci which used the Stratlock® range in its latest storefronts and Metro Rennes, which used the Stratlock® range to mount decorative panels in 2,500m2 of public space across seven subway stations in Rennes, France.
